<--------This is what I ordered. Yes, it was tasty. Yes, I ate the whole thing. Yes, I went to a diabetic coma (not really, but I could my blood sugar surging) These pancakes were really good. I had been having a craving for red velvet cake, which these panCAKES took care of. Next time, I'm getting a doggy bag....maybe. ;)

Cupcakes...no wait...pancakes?
It was late night, yet it was time to eat. I had already eaten supper but the friends I was with had not. It was 10:45ish, so where should we go. The journey took us to IHOP, a great place for pancakes (or hopefully.) The current special was red velvet cupcakes....no pancakes. Red velvet pancakes. They looked dark red and had a drizzle of cream cheese icing all covered with whipped cream. The menu pictured made them look really tempting.

Pancakes... Yummmmm... Pancakes are always an excellent choice. I love pancakes!
ReplyDeleteI had the best pancakes last week in Charleston at the little restaurant by my hotel, Toast. One day I had blueberry pancakes and the next day I enjoyed banana pecan pancakes. They were absolutely delicious!
I have never heard of red velvet pancakes!!! Sounds very yummy! I have made a banana walnut pancake before. It was so good and there was no need for syrup!
ReplyDeleteI wish we had an IHOP. The commercials are always showing new and different varieties of pancakes. Sadly, I have never been a fan of red velvet, although they look tasty.
ReplyDeleteYou should have taken a picture of my plate of food as well. That was the most I have had to eat in a long time. But I do admit those pancakes were very much filled with sugar.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you Jody, I've never heard of red velvet pancakes either, but it certainly makes me want to go out and get some! Flavor Flav just opened up a new place in Las Vegas ("Flavor Flav's House of Flavor" - yeah, creative, I know...), and his red velvet waffles are supposed to be pretty good! I'll have to try them out and let you know. :)
